I am holding a coffee & cake morning in aid of The Invictus Trust, a Cornish charity on Saturday 17th November from 1000 – 1200 in Pentewan Village Hall.
The Invictus Trust is a mental health charity for young people campaigning to reduce the stigma and to build the only mental health unit for young people in Cornwall.
After a glass of wine (or possibly 2) I am the first on the dance floor, but this is a bit different! Over the next few weeks, I will be taking the moves a bit more seriously in aid of this amazing charity and taking part in Invictus does Strictly. The final is being held at The Burrell Theatre, Truro on the 8th December complete with judging panel, sequins, the full schabang. Training sessions are going well but we get extra points for fundraising – I’m going with this option!
I am practising hard, trying not to tread on anyone’s toes whilst raising awareness and money. I’m not alone as there are another 19 brave souls who are doing this with me – group dance and everything! Strictly will never be the same again!
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
I really appreciate all your support and if you can’t make it but would like to donate, you can visit my fundraising page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TamsinSalliss
If anybody would like to bake a cake or even help on the day, please let me know. Many thanks x
